I've been looking into buying a new hard drive, and I wanted to know if it was compatible with my mobo.

The mobo I have is: Biostar A780L3C AMD 760G/SB710 Motherboard - MicroATX, Socket AM3, AMD 760G/SB710, DDR3 1600 MHz (O.C.), USB 2.0, SATA II (3Gb/s), 6-CH Audio, LAN, PCIe 2.0

The Hard Drive I'm looking to get is: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive - 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA 6Gb/s (ST1000DM003)

Will it work? Please answer.

That HDD will work well on your MB even it has the SATAII port only, because no mechanical hdd can even come close to the SATAII 3Gb/s limit. There's no such thing as a SATA3 HDD.

Ah, gotcha. Is there a hard drive you would recommend over that one?
