I need to replace the gtx 660 in my alienware i7 x51 desktop since i've been having problems with it. My question is do I simply replace it with the same card or do I have some room to upgrade (the small case and power supply being 330w are factors)

Solution
could be problem with the gpu. maybe you can try the gpu on other pc if same problem still happen. btw nvidia recommend minimum 450w power supply with GTX660. it might work with your current PSU but i bet it will stress the psu hard. so if you get better gpu than GTX660 it will stress that PSU much harder. anyway you could try RMA the card as well

my problem is the screen looks like this

with no other apparent affect to graphics, as in i still get high fps. There hadn't been a problem the first 5 months i had this computer, unless i changed a power option that really affects performance and don't remember doing it, i think its the gpu.
