Hello, I am almost done building my gaming PC, but still need to get a GPU. I have narrowed it down to the 7970, or the R9 280x. I am still considering the 7950, so any input on that would also be beneficial. So here is my question, what should I go with? I do not want to overclock and I will not overclock (mostly to do with the motherboard) so any overclock models or whatever will not suffice. Here is my rig without the GPU. I also plan to pass 55 FPS with Ultra on BF4.
CPU - AMD Fx-8320 8-Core
Motherboard - ASUS m5a97 le r2.0
Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws X series 8GB of RAM
Storage - SeaGate 240GB SSD
PSU (Power Supply) - Rosewill 750W PSU
Case - I don't know if this would have an impact, but it is a Rosewill Blackhawk case
I am getting Windows 8.1 for the OS. I want the R9 280x because it is newer out of the 3, but I want your knowledge on the subject, I would prefer if you can share personal experiences with these 3 products, and if some of you don't mind, you can give your overall opinion on the build. I also don't want to spend much over $300USD. I'll still take suggestions over $300 but nothing more than $350. Thank you guys a ton in advance!

EDIT: I added in the budget sentences.

when you say overclock models will not suffice, that makes no sense. they are factory overclocked and come with a warranty for that overclock, you do not overclock them. the 7970 and 280x are identical cards, the only difference is the clock speeds of the memory and GPU, varying models with different clock speeds etc. forget the 7950 if you want bf4 on ultra, even the 280 and 7970 would struggle to maintain that in all situations. So basically, pick some 280x/7970 models that are in your budget, look at the clock speeds of the gpu and ram, and get the fastest one for a good price. Some of the 7970 OC/ghz models are faster than 280x models, but then there are 280x models that have higher clock speeds also. Another thing, your motherboard...

Another thing, your motherboard has nothing to do with GPU overclocking, what in specific were you worried about in regard to that? Another thing is, the 280x are beggining to be shipped with a key for a copy of BF4. If you already have bf4, then get the 7970, which should come with a coupon for a choice of 3 of 6 different games in the AMD never settle bundle.

Thanks for the feedback, I realized what I said about the OC models and I was about to edit that out. I read somewhere on here that the mobo wasn't good for overclocking. Thank you for the suggestions as well. But just so I can be 100% sure on this, when I by an OC edition, it is basically the same GPU, but with a higher clock rate/ speed? So I am not putting any stress on the components in my PC, like everything will run smoothly? Sorry for any "noob" questions, this is my first time building a PC and I want to make all of the right decisions.

your motherboard is not good for overclocking in regard to the 8 core cpu, it can not supply enough stable power.
