My opinion? There is no electrical connection. It won't get hot enough to melt anything.
As long as it is only touching, and not exerting significant force on one another, I'd say you are good to go.

If it was my rig, I might investigate the possibility of exchanging it for a U12. But I don't think you will experience any problems because of it.
