not many am3+ motherboards?

Solution
well he asked about am3+ the deal is there might be a lot of boards but not all of them are available or priced reasonably some people / vendors have serious markups on them making them less reasonable when you building on a budget. personally i find it hard to find good micro atx boards.. with enough pci slots... closets and best i could find was a lga 2011 gene board which had 3 pci 16x slots i was looking to put 2 290's in crossfire but still have room for my pci express drive. of course that set up is vender specific and trust me when i say this there are not a lot of options for lga 2011

well you only have so many makers and some of them tend to get discontinued if they don't sell well. trust me there are a lot of am3+ boards out there but only a few still carried in retail channels. AM3+ platform more than likely is dead as AMD has already said that they would be going with quad core hsa chips for fm2+

same could be said about lga 1150 platform .. on another note some boards are vendor specific and tend to be exclusive but if your looking for a good board i would say try one of the ud3 or ud5 boards from gigabyte

Yes! Anyways i just thought it was weird. I got kind of a cheaper board (MSI 970A-G46) and i'm not exactly happy with it, no big problems just... eh. And i was just looking around.
