I have an LG E2241VT monitor connected by DV-D dual link cable to an NVidia Geoforce GX 460 card in a Win 7 64 bit system with 8 GB of RAM and 4096MB total available graphics memory (dedicated plus shared). Both the display and NVidia control panels say that my monitor is 1920x1080. But physical checks (creating images at certain sizes and displaying them at 100% zoom, plus a Web-based resolution checker) show that my monitor is actually displaying at 1280x720. Display driver is up to date. NVidia driver is one level back from up to date (the most recent one is buggy.) I've talked to NVidia, they can't figure it out. Any thoughts?

Have you ever used that cable before? I would suggest replacing it with a spare, if you have one available, and see if perhaps your connection with the screen is incomplete or malfunctioning.
