pinnhead is 100% correct the best antivirus is a smart user. I havent used a antivirus in years and have no problems. just read what you click on and dont download a bunch of porn and youll do just fine. Plus you dont have to worry about the antivirus slowing your computer down

There's no doubt that being a responsible/smart user is very important. But please don't come away from this thread thinking you don't need an antivirus. You can get an infection just from doing a simple Google image search, or from shopping online. Going without antivirus is one of the worst suggestions I've heard.

I Install a combination of Microsoft Essentials antivirus and Spybot search&destroy to all my clients and on my computers.
Both great and free programs that does their jobs well.
