My gtx 670 ftw failed on me about a week ago, it was still under warranty so they told me to mail it in. After the card failed, i left it in, but switched my hdmi over to my igpu and set the default to integrated in the bios. i've been using the computer fine all week with this setup. Today, i removed the gtx card carefully and set it aside to later be mailed off. Tried to boot up and i have no display. I would note that my secondary hard drive fails the SMART test and causes my rig to beep its typical error message on boot up, which i am no longer hearing when i try to boot with no monitor input detection, i would also not that i did hit the MEMok Dram button to see if that would fix it, but now the computer keeps booting, then turning off, then auto rebooting and repeat.

Any ideas?

Solution
Just for shit and giggles have you tried putting the other card back in AND see if you have a display???? you may have not got the igpu enabled in the bios... It happens

checked the cables and tried several configurations. none of them worked, the computer seems to power up, but i have no display to get to the bios or see whats going on.

You don't need to pull battery to reset cmos theres a 3 pin setup on your board you unplug the power and short the pins example if its on 2 and 3 move it to 1 and 2 pulling the battery will take a good 25 mins to clear trust me its a workaround for when people forget there bios password and the cmos don't work...

yeah, i tried the pin short previously, wasnt sure if it did the trick so i pulled the battery to make sure still no fix. MemOK is blinking red before i pressed the button. still no display. really frustrating, the rig is only a year old and it was a pretty high end build.

didnt see your other comment, i did put back in the gpu connected the 6 pin and all, still no fix. the display was set to and plugged into the onboard before i removed the pcie, which is what's really confusing me. I've also discovered that my mouse which normally lights up when plugged in and booted is not lighting same symptom with other mice.

Nice specs one last thing try 1 stick memory 1 hard drive one dvd drive and unhook the rest ... are you using a monitor with more then one hmdi connections? I use 32 Sammy screen tv myself lol if so hook your hdmi cable to another plug in the monitor and change your settings and then try

im using a 32 LG tv :), im also testing on a standard VGA monitor. I should point out that im not getting any error beeps that i should expect, i've even tried unplugging the keyboard to at least get that error beep. nothing. this makes me think that while i was not using the faulty gpu that i still had in the case that maybe my igpu and dgpu were sharing resources, so when i unplugged the dgpu and tried to boot, the video memory might have caught somewhere which could possibly lead to catching on the bios. or am i coming from left field here?
i will redo the rig with one of each component in the morning, its getting late for me. will get back to you then. thanks for helping thus far.
