Can RAM be just added on?

hey guys, i currently have two 4gb sticks of memory in my gaming rig. But i'm thinking of putting more in there. If i was to buy and plug in 2 more 4gb sticks of the SAME model that i originally bought, meaning i would now have four sticks that make 16gb of memory, will it work right after i plug it in and will windows reconize it and use it?

I've worked with those before, and again, may or may not work, if you get them and have any problems, give me a shout, have had a lot of experience playing the timings and voltages when sticks don't want to work together, Asus has a good BIOs so you may luck out ;)

Thanks for the heads up :) Think i'll get the two sticks and give you a shout if there are any problems
