hi all,
my computer part is:
motherboard ASROOK H55M-LE PCI E2.0 DDR3
RAM 4GB
CPU: CORE I3 3.2
AND GPU ATI HD5450
SO I want to overclock the GPU to
NVIDIA GT640 2GB DDR3PCI E3.0
can I find any difference in graphics with this new GPU???
thanks all

Solution
You're better off with a 7750 at the same price level, heck if your PSU is half decent these cards are many times more powerful than the 640, with the 7790 having a $40 rebate as of now

If you want to actually compare real world gaming performance between cards, use this site, gamedebate and hwcompare are synthetic and not representative of real world performance

what do you mean??upgrade or overclock?

the difference between hd5450 and gt640 are here: http://www.hwcompare.com/12884/geforce-gt-640-ddr3-vs-radeon-hd-5450/

The GeForce GT 640 DDR3 uses a 28 nm design. nVidia has set the core frequency at 900 MHz. The DDR3 memory runs at a speed of 1782 MHz on this particular card. It features 384 SPUs along with 32 Texture Address Units and 16 Rasterization Operator Units.
Compare all that to the Radeon HD 5450, which features GPU clock speed of 650 MHz, and 512 MB of DDR3 memory running at 800 MHz through a 64-bit bus. It also features 80(16x5) SPUs, 8 Texture Address Units, and 4 Raster Operation Units.

The 5450 is an entry level video card designed for HD video playback and little else, it can handle light gaming

The GT 640 is a lower end in the Geforce 600 series card capable of playing most modern games at low-medium settings

The GT 640 is much power powerful than the 5450 as it's comparable in performance to the old 8800/9800 GTX and capable of some gaming at lower settings, while the 5450 nowadays will not be handling any games, except maybe on the lowest settings at an extremely low resolution

The 5450 makes sense for those with a low end old machine with a low powered PSU who wish for smooth HD video playback

There is no comparison between the two, the GT 640 is much power powerful than the 5450, though the GT 640 is a rather rubbish card in its price range as it's a considerable bit weaker than the 7750 which can be found in the same price range
