1080p vs. 1440p single monitor got gaming.

I've got a GTX 780ti and I was wondering if I should get a 1080p of a 1440p screen.

How big is the difference between the two graphics wise?

I should be able to average 60fps on a 1440p screen I think with more modern games.

that's really depends a lot on the game because not all new game are created to punish your hardware like crysis 3. what res to choose it is up to you. i'm currently still on my 20 inch monitor with 1600x900 res and i'm perfectly fine with it.
