My PC is not starting up and does not 'beep'.
It works on MB Asus P5B deluxe with Intel core 2 duo. The led light on MB is on but nothing is happening when I try to turn it on. I tried all the standard procedures, disconnected all components, replace the reset plug with the on/off plug on MB but still nothing. A technitian has checked it and he said that 'probably' the MB is dead. The Pc is 8 years old and I was wondering if it is worth it to buy a new compatible MB or just recover data and buy a new PC. I am worried that the problem might not be the MB. Can it be the cpu? I don't want to buy a new MB just to find out that it was not the problem. any suggestions?
