Hi, i've been having trouble with my system right now, it has been shutting down after being powered on for about 5 minutes or so. Then after it shuts down, it won't power up and POST except if i leave it alone for a while, then try again. The only things i think could be wrong are the psu, mobo or cpu. The mobo is a new gigabyte 970-d3p board, so i would rule that out, but the psu is a cheap diablotek, and i over volted and oced the crap out of the cpu (Athlon X4 620), so that could also be the problem. I'll be receiving a new fx 8320 this week so i'll have to test that, and see if the problem goes away. Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong with this? Any help would be appreciated!

Power Supply Maybe!

The symptoms you describe are most likely a heat issue. If the power supply won't power the system until it sits for awhile it is most likely a bad power supply.

I had been using the psu for a while with this system, and it had been working fine. It is 675watt, so it definatly has enough power. I think it may have just failed because it is low quality.
