Just picked up a microsoft 360 wireless controller, and started to play Half Life 2 on Steam. It syncs right away, but after playing for just a few minutes, I start to lose functions, specifically the left thumbstick. I have to continually go back into game options and re-enable the controller time and again. Also tried the controller on Burnout Paradise, (horrible option screen, or should I say lack of), and same thing happens. Batteries appear to be fine, and the receiver is brand new. Not sure what the issue is. I also have a wired controller, and never any issues with that one at all.
