This is for a first time build. I'm looking to play games like BF4, Borderlands 2 and Skyrim with mods + ENB at the moment, but I'd also like this PC to last a while.

I have a slightly strange situation for my budget though, I'm 16 years old and my (divorced) parents are buying the parts, which is the reason that the parts list is split up. I've got around £575 from my dad for the build and around £300-£325 from my mum. Could anyone check this over and tell me if it looks good?

From my dad:

The bit that concerns me here is if the PSU will fit (no idea how to check that). I know that I'm a tiny bit over budget for these, but I'm sure that won't be a problem. If something else needs to go in, I'm happy to drop the SSD.

As for my mum:

XFX Radeon R9 290 Boost Edition AMD Graphics Card - 4GB

I don't know if the non-reference 290s will come out before Christmas, but this is a Christmas build so if they don't come out, am I fine with a reference one? Noise doesn't really bother me, I wear headphones anyway. I am planning to maybe get a 1440p monitor in the future or buying 2 more 1080p ones and playing in eyefinity, so that might be worth keeping in mind when looking at my choice of card.

Did I do well?

ALSO - I know I said that my parents are divorced but this build will remain at one house and won't be moved, so the size of the PC doesn't matter too much to me. Thanks!

i changed some parts
ram should be 1600 MHz or higher, not 1333 (the ram i put is on sale)
mobo h87 is minimum. h81 is too basic
changed case into the fav case, there is black version too

Thanks, you guys responded very quickly, wish I'd come here instead of buildapc (on reddit) first. I'd assume that the lack of a graphics card correction means a 290 is ideal, right?
