I want to get one of these two laptops. Witch one is better? Both of them are the same price. I want to use one of them for some gaming and extreme multitasking.

TOSHIBA NB L50 i7 4G1TB 2GPU
Intel Core i7-47100MQ
nVidia GeForce GTX 740 2GB

OR

MSI GE60
INTEL Core i5-3230M 2.6GHZ
(Turbo 3.2Ghz)
nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB

The rest of the specifications are basically the same and I am not to worried about. I suspect the MSI GE60's graphic card would boost its CPU power more than than the TOSHIBA's graphic card, is that true?

Are there specific games or tasks you're planning on using the laptop for?

Yes, like I said some gaming and extreme multitasking with Photoshop, Vegas, word ext. I wish to achieve close to ultra graphic settings when I play games.

Well, it's going to depend on the games & apps you're planning on using.

If they're on the GPU-heavy side, the MSI is probably the better laptop: the 660M has a higher base clock speed than the 740M (although apparently has no boost) & more memory bandwidth (80 GB/s vs. 57.6 GB/s). If they need more CPU oomph, the Toshiba is probably better with the i7 vs. the i5.

That being said, the only comparison I could find on GPUBoss.com (here) compared the 660M to a 760...& the "ultra" performance for the 660M is not that great (22.9 FPS for BioShock Infinite on "Ultra", 10 FPS for FarCry 3 on "Very High"). What you may want to do is see if any of the laptops offer a better 700-series (maybe a 760M, 765M, 770M or even 780M) graphics card instead.
