Upgrade or Not

Hi I have a dell XPS-730
Intel Core Quad CPU Q6600 2.4GHZ
8 gig 1333mhz
GTX 470 .Playing call of duty Ghosts .Everything working fine.Comp 6 years old . I never had a comp that works this long. my question is.is it worth to upgrade grapics too GTX670 or780 Ti.or buy a Main gear.am I wasting money upgrading.or is time to upgrade and buy I new comp. Love your site.going crazy , Man im addicted to fast comps.Should I pull the trigger . Other idea should I upgrade the xps with new mother board ram grapics. etc... so confused jackattack. any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
 
Solution
They would be held back by the CPU, so really time to think about total upgrade. I believe the motherboard is ATX so the case can be reused with a new setup.

For a CPU, I'd recommend Intel Core i7-2600 or above, you can keep your 8 GB of RAM and if you really want it to be an extreme upgrade, pop a HD 7990 and don't worry that it's a dual GPU. I'm running 2 x 7870 GHz so far and have never had a single complain in even 1 game.. No throttling, no lagging, everything is fast and smooth.. And of course, most amazingly, I get almost x2 higher FPS in most of the games.
