It will work fine, no difference really. PCIe is recommended today since many boards have gotten rid of the PCI slots.
Thanks. Now that I'm looking, you're right that many of the $175+ mobo's don't have those old PCI slots, but they still keep putting them in the $100+- mobo's. I guess they'll probably be completely gone eventually.
On a side note, I've noticed even in the most expensive mobo's today, they still keep putting those ridiculous multicolored round inputs for old keyboards and mouse's from the 1980's. I find it hard to believe anyone looking to buy a modern $200 mobo and is still using those old keyboards and mice.?. Crazy. : )
