So i recieved my ASUS gtx 670 in the mail yesterday, been desperately trying to get it to perform correctly, its causing my computer to boot horribly slow, and most of the games I attempt to play i am receiving a strange lag (game runs fine then appears to freeze and fast forward for a few seconds before repeating the cycle) I upgraded from a 240 gt nvidia card if that helps at all.

I am running a GA-MA770T-UD3P motherboard

Solution
First deal with The Usual Suspects:
Remove and reseat the card checking it goes fully home, locks correctly and both power leads do likewise.
Download and install a copy of Ccleaner.
Download the latest WHQL drivers for your card and version of Windows (or Linux) to your Documents folder but don't install yet.
Uninstall ALL the graphics card related software, both drivers and utilities (like EVGA Precision or Afterburner.)
Restart.
Delete any folders left over (this may take some time as they get all over the place ;) ) then run Ccleaner to clear out the Registry-make a backup when it asks.
Restart.
Install the downloaded drivers.
Restart.
Any good?
