Hey guys I'm a new member but I've been on this site a lot and it's helped a ton and I love it. Anyways, I have a dell vostro 200 (not the slim tower) and I am looking for a gfx upgrade. I have the g33 mobo (lower end that it came with) and I think the 300 or 350w PSU. I bought a 500w PSU and have yet to install it. Also got an Intel core 2 duo compatible with the mobo and I have 4gb of ram. I currently have an nvidia9500gt 512 mb vram. I really need to upgrade and my question is that with the 500w PSU, can I install an amd radeon HD 7790 1gb of vram? Or is there a better alternative that is hopefully cheaper and will provide me with the same or better performance as the 7790. Thanks

7790 is good. In that price range is the best option.

Hello!

I recommend the Radeon R9 270. It has good performance and conservative power requirements. Check your new PSU for a 6-pin PCI-E power connector. If it doesn't have one you will need to purchase an adapter.

Here is a link to the GPU I have personally used and recommend:

And here is a link to the power adapter you may or may not need:

I hope that helps. Happy upgrading!
