SO i am sitting here with a motherboard and i have plugged everything in right, except for some of the power cables like the 8-pin powercable which is not a part of this PSU instead i have a 4-pin i have to use instead which works. The DRAm light goes on red and the mobo makes a constant high pitched beep sound. The ROG symbol lights up (which i've read means something is wrong??) I've tried to pull out the RAMs one by one and changing slots in various combinations, but with no luck so far.

My thoughts are that the PSU doesn't fit the motherboard in some way, neither does it fit the GPU since i can only have one cable in that instead of 2, as it is supposed to have.

anyone knows what is wrong with this system,??

Both 24 pin and 8 pin has to be plugged into the motherboard.
Make sure that 8 pin is a 2+4pin not 6+2 pin.
What is your psu?

It's a 2+4 pin but only 1 half fits into the 8 pin socket on the mobo..
The PSU is a Cooler Master GX 650 W.

*update*
Now the beeping sound is gone, but the red DRAM LED still lights red.
