screen hangs up but working in safe mode..

Hello,
Today i installed ASUS Z87-A mother board and intel core i5 4670K processor.When i boot up,it works for a while like 25 seconds but after that my computer just hangs i cant even move my cursor or use my keyboard.
my sys specs:
ram:4gb ddr3 corsair
gpu:hd 7970
psu:tx 850 corsair
Please help me out i am really worried

in windows? safe mode work? reinstall windows?

yup windows 7.And yeah working fine in safe mode no i did not reinstall windows because nothing works how may i be able to do.? and i have not thought about reinstalling.

What was the cpu and motherboard before the upgrade? download and install the new motherboard driver from ASUS website

CPU was amd phenom 2 x4 black edition and motherboard asus m4a785td v evo. how do i do it because nothing works it starts for only like 25 seconds and then hangs in desktop and tried even safe mode with network but still the network also does not work i dont know why.

install the drivers in safemode, use the drivers on the cd that come with the motherboard. But I would suggest a reinstall windows to make sure.

my dvd writer wont work actually i dont know because previously it was attached to motherboard with PRI_IDE something. but this board does not have anything.really worried with no options left.

But in my case my RAM is running perfect i hope so because it has not shown any defects till now.

Oh i did'nt read it properly.Wel even my GPU is good in condition because i have been using it for like 6 months.

a dvd drive is relatively cheap, get a new one.

Thanks a lot i reinstalled windows it worked (dont know the exact reason).Anyways now my network adapter not working says it needs driver.And many devices are not installed.Please help me out.where can i get the drivers for my motherboard online.I tried finding in the asus website but could not get the proper one.I really dont have any idea where to search for it.

Well i cannot afford for a optical drive for a month may be later i.e next month.Till that time any other options i am left with to download the drivers because i am unable to find it.
