2560x1440 monitor at 59hz

hello. I am curios to know why my 2560x1440 monitor does 59hz and not 60 under windows 7. Its hooked up to two Gtx 680s in sli using a dvi dual link cable. I see the 60hz option available but it always reverts back to 59. why 59 and not 60 lol. thanks guys.

btw iam using the same monitor hooked up to a late 2012 mac mini and Os X sees it at 60hz.

ive seen it do that. write 59 instead of 60 even on my display. weird issue dunno if it really matters, tbh im not a monitor expert. maybe someone else can help sorry :p

Could be a driver issue maybe? That or check the settings on the physical monitor settings.
