Can I do better for under $600

right now you can get the 8350 on sale for $169 at newegg.

I personally would go for an fx 6300 cpu and upgrade the GPU to a 7870 or 7850. I would also get a lower wattage PSU maybe like 600w but make sure that it is 80+ certified. The case and the mobo are perfect but you could save some cash by taking a micro ATX solution. A case I would recommend would be the cooler master n200. I wish you luck :)

if the $615 after $85 in rebates is too much up front, drop the SSD

Would the i5 better starting point for building a budget gaming PC? My son mainly want to play BF4 and minecraft
