Hi all,
I'm putting the parts together for a Hackintosh + Windows gaming rig and I'd like to get some feedback on the components[1] I've chosen.
I'd like to be able to do the following:
- Hackintosh; must be able to run OS X 10.9 Mavericks
- Run Photoshop + Lightroom smoothly
- Gaming at 1080p with high quality settings (~60fps)
- "Overclockability" (4.5Ghz+)
Is there any point in buying Haswell? If not, I could save a few pennies on the mobo+CPU and get a better GPU.
I chose the 770 because of the performance and it's compatability with OS X. ATI cards seem to be a pain to run in OS X.
Is the GA-Z87X-UD4H overkill for what I want to do? Again, Gigabyte chosen because of OS X compatability[2].
Thanks all!
