Hello!

I need your help again, after a loong time. Currently my graphic card died and I have to replace it. Since it is old computer I don't know, which one to choose, since the one I was using it, is no more in shops.

Computer is Intel core 2 Quad 2,40 GHz 2GB ram. That is all info I have, maybe helps.

I had a Geforce 8800 GTS card inside, and it is gone now.

Since I need it quick, I found this option in local store:

NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

Would this one be OK? Computer is not used for games, only browsing, word, etc...

Would you suggest any other card?

Thanks for help!

If you don't play games then it doesn't really matter what you put in it. If that 610 is an acceptable price to you and it's easily available, then I'd go for it.

Since you don't use the pc for games any cheap graphics card will be fine.

That card will suit your intended use fine. It's a low-end card intended for very simple gaming duties, but I have used it in office machines before.

So the cheapest, no matter which company card will do the job? Should the slots where I plug the card fit the new 610 card?

In that case I will go for this 610 since it is the only and cheapest option in my nearest store.

Thank you all for help. It is hard, when you don't know a lot of tehnical stuff

Yes the card would fit in the slot, no worries. Actually it matters I am talking about vendors. Go cheap but go with a rated vendor. Good luck.
