I recently bought one ASUS DRW-24D3ST/BLK/G/AS DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive, as my old LG DVD GH24NS71/GH24NS72/GH24NS95 Internal Optical Drive had been damaged. I have downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from the internet. When I burn the Windows ISO (Image File) using Nero 7 Essentials on my DVD, the burning process is done OK but the DVD does not read the data inside it; as if it is a blank DVD. Again, after erasing the data, I have repeated the burning process using POWER ISO, then it reads the data OK. Why this problem and what is the solution? Note that the DVD is Moser Baer 4.7 GB DVD + RW.

Is it the problem related to old Nero software or is it some other problem? Can I not use Nero 7 StartSmart Essentials ever again to burn discs again? It has served me well before for years with my old LG DVD Writer. Also, what should I do with Image Burner and what to check?
