I'm just torn between the I7-4770K & AMD FX8350.

Yes, i still am!

So my main goal is to stream, and i've been told by people that it can stream games like BF4.
Let me make a quick recap of what i want to do and what i want to stream.

Battlefield 4
Emulating games like Zelda OOT, Skywardsword, Final Fantasy VII-X
And other current games.

So i know the I7 will do fine with these games, but alot of people told me i will not be able to stream with this setup, and i will basicly throw away 550 euro's for this upgrade.

Its something i really have a hard time with and i just can't believe this is true, but just to be sure. can someone please help me out and maybe throw down some real facts to help me out here?

My System would either be a I7 4770k Or a FX 8350. But considering the i7 is TWICE as expensive as the 8350 i just can't seem why i wouldn't be able to stream these games. i know alot of them are CPU intensive and require alot from your CPU but i also know CPU has REAL powerfull CPUs

Go with fx 8320 save some money and grab an r9-290, it will destroy everything, lemme tell you what happened to me and my uncle, the day I bough my fx 8350 and r9-290, he bought his i7-4770k and r9-280x, he was highfalutin and was boasting about his 300$ CPU, it took us one full week to run some tests, we testes some game like bf3, bf4, tomb raider, call of duty black ops 2, MOH war fighter, hitman absoloution etc... you might like to look at our results
some of our benchmarks here at 1080p
Metro last Light very high
fx 8350+r9-290= 68.5 fps
i7 4770k+ 280x= 51.8 fps
Bioshock Infinite ultra quality+ DDoF
fx 8350+r9-290= 91.6
i7 4770k+ 280x= 71.4
Battlefield 3 ultra quality+ 4xmsaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 87.4
i7 4770k+ 280x= 71.3
crysis 3 high+fxaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 78.4
i7 4770k+ 280x= 58.6
Bioshock Infinite ultra quality+DDoF
fx 8350+r9-290=91
i7 4770k+ 280x=73
Hitman Absoloution
fx 8350+r9-290=79.8
i7 4770k+ 280x=76.2
Grid 2 Maximum quality+ 4xmsaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 106.6
i7-4770k+280x= 91.7

also look at these benchmarks of new games, why pay more than you should, when you can grab a better gpu!?

Well, money here isn't a problem i just want to be sure the I7 can stream everything 720P/1080P Even Battlefield 4. i'm using a GTX 760 atm if i'm correct streaming doesn't really give a FPS loss as long as the CPU is strong enough to handle it.

And yes i've read about it before, But lets be honest. FPS is due to the GPU not the CPU as long as your CPU isn't bottlenecking. And my CPU is being the problem right now so i'm upgrading it. All i really wanna know is i can i stream BF4 @ 720/1080P with a 4770k?

Well i7-4770k wont have any problems for streaming, well that CPU is a beast, why should it have problem at streaming!? if money is not the problem and you don't want to grab a better gpu either, grab the i7-4770k... but ask yourself do you really need to spend that much!? in the mean time, I will look around to find a better deal for the i7, let's see what we can find

Cheapest that i am able to find is 300 euro here. 550 for Asus Maximus VI hero + 8 gb ram + 4770k. Not a bad deal imo. But you say i will not even have the smallest problem streaming BF4? i know its quite CPU intensive. but you'll think it'll be oke?

Awesome thank you, So, just to end this thread. will the I7 outperform while streaming or is the FX 8350 better at that? anyways if you say I7 will have no problem streaming that game i'll believe you and my mind is made up!:)

Well, the i7-4770k is a beast, I can say both CPUs will be roughly the same while streaming, i7-4770k can be a little better.

Well i've been using AMD on my current setup which has lasted me quite some years and i'm happy for that. But now i really wanna go intell and see what its all about ( Since i'm gonna use quite some programs that do not use more then 1-4 cores ) is also a big factor, but once again thank you very much!

You are very welcome man!! yup!! it can be a good experience, but I can't do that, I mean I won't be able to live with a rig that does not have the AMD inside ;) well, I love AMD, good luck and play hard mate

I had the same problem.
Chose the I7 4770k with R9 290 tri-x and the performance is phenomenal.
And the CPU was only 277 Euro when I've bought it. I'm fully satisfied.
And I use it mostly for the same things as you (BF4, emulating, streaming and CAD), I've had 0 problems streaming BF4 so far (same applies to League of Legends).
On the other hand in December my friend bought a new PC with 8320 (dont go with 8350 its just an OC-d 8320) and that machine is also good, even though he is not using it for streaming or hardcore gaming.
But after my personal experience I can safely say to go with the I7 4770k if you can AFFORD it.
