This just happened recently..
It first started by my screens(I was duel screening) lock up and go completely blank to a color. I was forced to reboot and during boot up it would distort the text to the point of almost unreadable, and giving off colorful symbols.
Once the OS loads it just gives me static y lines across my monitor horizontally, while my resolution is completely off(cant change it either). it doesn't seem to be picking up my video card at all.
Sometimes if I let it set and come back to it, it will work but usually goes back to the issue quickly.
I checked the video card and the fans are working, so I don't think it's overheating.
