My boss (extremely good with computers) said i might have 2 system reserved partitions (don't really want to get into issue) but if i do have 2 system reserve partitions (i re installed windows 8) would i be able to delete one of them without having any trouble booting up my pc?

Please let me know if this is in the wrong category and which category i should put it in.

Thank you

If you only installed Windows 8 once, it would be quite unlikely that you would have two SRPs unless something went wrong and you had to re-install it during the build. In any event, even if two exist, for 200MB I would not try to figure out and delete the incorrect one as you will most likely end up spending a lot of time if anything goes wrong.

If your computer is working properly, I would advise that you just leave it alone as it should only be 200MB in Windows 8.

Just curious, in disk management do you actually see two distinct SRP partitions? Did the computer previously have Windows 7 installed?

I haven't checked yet. I was just talking to my boss about computers, and he said that might of happened. I just built my pc a few months ago and have only had windows 8 on it.

You don't need to defrag your SRP, it would not make any difference.

Since you reinstalled, if you did not unallocate the drive prior to the second install there is a reasonable chance that you could have a second partition, but it is so small that I would not mess with it.

That's my point exactly, you won't necessarily know until after deleted, and for 200MB it is not worth the hassle even on a small SSD if all is currently working well.
