I'm attempting to repair a DELL U2410F. I love this monitor and want to fix it. The symptoms are this: It does work, but it will turn off randomly often and than turn itself back on.It can stay on for hours or mins and then it will shut off and may come back on after a short period or long period. When it is on however it works well.

I have removed the case. I've checked for leaking caps or enlarged caps and not really seeing anything visible there. Do caps always visibly show signs of failure or is it possible that one could fail and not show these symptoms.

Also... On several of the components there is a glue or substance looking to be coming from the component or maybe glue holding it down to the board. I have no idea either way and I'm hoping someone can help me here. Is this glue or bad components. If they are bad components - are you able to identify what they are because I do not know. I have included pics of the glue or substance near the components referenced thanks!

These are pictures of the board and hosted on dropbox please take a look thanks!

its most likely glue since its on different components but glue or not you best to get a new monitor and i had a tv like that turns on sometimes and after a long period turns it self off and tried to turn it back on nothing happens so save yourself from the aggravation of being in the middle of something important and it turns off (cause that what happen to me) and if you have wifi/lan and andiod/ios device use this app called splash top to stream your desktop screen
