Okay, so I originally had a Western Digital My Book. The book fell and the usb broke off. I took the book out of the casing and now have it connected with a USB to SATA & IDE adapter. The hard drive comes up on the computer and says that it's "not accessible," it also states that I need to format it which I obviously do not want to do.

I've also already Right Clicked Computer --- Manage --- Disk Management.
Results of my "B Drive" =
"Layout-Simple, Type- Basic, File System-RAW, Status - Healthy (Primarily Partition)"

Do I right click my Disk and "MARK PARTITION AS ACTIVE?"

Solution
The good news is that it looks like your data is still there - "Status - Healthy". The bad news is you can't access it from a PC. The "File System-RAW" means that the data is recorded directly to the drive without any file system that a PC could use to access it. So if you can get another WD My Book and swap the drives you may be able to recover it that way but it will still be in RAW format. There maybe some freeware/shareware out there that might read it but I'm not familiar with any. NO, do not mark the partition as active. You don't want to change anything on the disk until you find some way to read the RAW format.
