Random Freezing- At Wit's End

No, that's not the name of my band and first album, that's the problem I've been having. I built a new computer and have been having random freezes since. Freezing during gaming, after gaming, doing nothing, loading webpages, loading .avi files.

At first I thought it was the RAM. I quadruple checked my timings and voltage, no fix.

I've updated my BIOS, all drivers, ran a memory test, and a hard drive test.

I think I might've narrowed it down to my USB 3.0, but I'm not sure where to go from there. Reason why: my devices plugged into them haven't worked. I've installed the latest drivers from ASRock's website. I did that and every time I'd boot up it'd ask me if I wanted to install them. Currently they're uninstalled, but my system is behaving the same.

The only time I've been able to recreate the freezing regularly is when I tried to open an .avi file from my external USB 3.0 hard drive into video editing software. I can open the files and watch them, but when I tried editing them in the program, it crashed 4 out of 5 times.

Specs:
Asrock Z77 Extreme3 mobo
8GB GSkill Sniper Series RAM
SeaSonic 650w PS X650 Gold
GTX 570
180gb Kingston SSD

I've monitored my temps, they haven't come near to being a problem.
Please help, this is driving me nuts!

Hi,

Did you install the usb driver from the website?
do you get freezes with other usb drive/ devices?
If you open .avi from your computer is it ok

If you said yes to all the previous, you might want to rma the mobo and explain the situation.

I got the drivers to install correctly, so I don't have any problems with that anymore, but I am still experiencing crashes. So it's not the USB, what next?

All it says is my computer crashed. A 6008 code i think. And as I told the others, its not my usb anymore, so now its on to the next thing... whatever it may be.

I've been at this for awhile now, I really don't know what to do next. It's not the USB. I've changed my timings and voltage on my RAM, and have run memory tests. I've run hard drive tests too. I'm at a loss.
