Getting terrible ping with a wired connection?

I recently re-wired my house with ethernet cables and such to get a wire up to my room. I get great download speeds and great ping (27ms) according to Speed test, the cable does go through 2 modems though and a coupler so I dont know if that has anything to do with it (My house was an absolute bitch to wire). But more to the point (forgot to add this) in games I get a terrible ping, for example in Team Fortress 2 I get 144ms ping and its almost too bad to even play at times, and same goes for other games as well like Battlefield 3 and 4, they lag so much I can barely play them (I have tried different servers on both games, same exact results, laggy)
Here are the results from speedtest in case you need them, http://www.speedtest.net/result/3142564048.png

Thanks!

You can't complain with any of those speeds. Ping a different server and you might get a 10ms time. But whatever, there is no real world difference. A friend of mine got his shop out in the county connected via satellite. Real satellite(outter space), not ground based. His ping was 1.7 seconds, it wasn't tolerable! He switched to broadband via cellular network even thou it's more expensive.

And running cat5e/6, is the was to go. The work is worth it!

Heres the thing though, its like that all the time on every server, I've never had a lag free game except when I used a wifi connection.
