Can an Intel HD 4000 graphics card compatible with the nividia shield

Solution
If you are referring to the Shields gamestream options, then no it is not. The Nvidia shields game streaming feature requires a Nvidia GTX 650 or higher GPU. http://shield.nvidia.com/play-pc-games/

I'm not sure I understand the question. The Intel HD 4000 is an integrated graphics chip, and part of some Ivy Bridge processors (Core I3,5, and 7 3000 series). The graphics chip cannot be purchased separately, since it does not exist separately. The Nvidia Shield should have its own graphics chip in it (a Tegra chip, I believe) and probably isn't upgradeable in that respect.

Hi Joe.

Your obviously thinking of getting one so you can play games on it.
Or play games that are on your pc and stream them to the Nvidia shield.

In order to do this you must have a PC with a Kelper based Gpu graphics card by Nvidia
GK104 600 series card or, GK110 700 card, fitted into the Pcie slot of the computer.
