Hello. So, my parts for my computer are coming in, and I need to know the best way to configure the storage. I will have a 1 tb hard drive and a 120 gb ssd. I'm going to use windows 8.

So, I know I want to put the os on the ssd, but I've things where you should partition it, and I also generally need to know how and when to put what where like games, data, programs, etc.
Thanks for your help!

Firstly what model 1TB do you have?

How I have done it is have the SSD as the C drive with my 1TB for my additional programs/ data.

I have OS + frequently used games on the SSD, League of Legends, Media Monkey, VLC and Steam.

While the HDD has my less frequently used programs under Program Files and Program Files (x86) in the root of the drive. CS6 and HP print programs are all on the HDD.

Also my downloads folder goes to my HDD meaning that nothing other than what I choose to put goes on the SSD. Only using 60GB out of my 120GB.
