Today I transferred my PC to a new case and installed a brand new graphics card but I looked in the DxDiag and it is not showing up and I double checked to make sure it was pushed into its slot correctly anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Edit: Fans are working on card and there was no prior card in my machine.

The laptop uses the Nvidia Optimus Technology. The laptop/PC will use the integrated Intel adapter for normal use.

If you open the Nvidia Control panel you can make sure that the games/applications are using the Nvidia graphics.

In some right click on a game and from there you can see run with graphics processor>>high performance nvidia processor

Run a game that you know uses the GT 540M.
Alt -Tab out of the game and then run DXDIAG.
