I have actually, the minimum requirements are met with windows xp for this game, and i have check to see if my PC is capable of running it..and it is from a site i used called "Can u run it".After reading your message there was a compatibility slot offered by right clicking on the Steam icon..i used it was able to play it.. but as i advanced in the game and there was more activity.. it crashed as before. My geuss is that i might have to go to windows 7 upgrade which i was trying to avoid for a while but i see no other way un less there is something im missing.probably am..lol..not to literate at this computer stuff yet but getting there..but i do very much appreciate taking time to answer..so thx u.im willing to learn all i can.

Windows 7 is much more stable and more rewarding to use than Windows XP but you may have "missed the boat" as Microsoft is more interested in pushing Windows 8 so it's taken back all the unsold copies of Windows 7 off the retailers' shelves. And if you buy a new PC or laptop today it will have Windows 8 on it for sure.

Does that matter? Well it might if it turns out you hate Windows 8 (and a lot of people do). It's optimised for touch-screen use and I would hate having to navigate around Windows in that way, especially on a desktop PC monitor. You can still use a mouse with it, but it's a bit "clunky" with a mouse (unlike Windows 7).

The best way to get Windows 7 now with a new computer is to go to an independent PC builder's shop and ask him to build a PC to your own specifications, and they'll usually be able to get hold of Windows 7 for it. That's what I did, and I even got a "proper" Windows 7 DVD (not an OEM copy). I also felt good knowing that I was supporting my local computer shop.
