I have a Sound blaster Audigy 2 (SB0240), and a Skullcandy PLYR1 (http://www.skullcandy.com/plyr-1) Headset setup. I currently am using the Toslink Optical out connection from my motherboards crap sound card to my skullcandy plyr1 device to get sound, and the usb connection used for the microphone. Is there a way to get a toslink optical connection to the audigy 2 instead of my motherboards built in soundcard?

Also, the skullcandy plyr1 device has a button that you press to turn on the "dolby surround 7.1" which I don't really understand when that is actually being used because my built in soundcard uses realtek hd audio manager with ALC892 audio codec which doesn't seem to do dobly digital or surround stuff. I don't really understand when I should use the 7.1 surround button if my digital connections driver doesn't seem to support it, though it changes the sound to a really deep surround sound. In the realtek digital output properties the encoded format that works is dolby digital and 44.1/48kHz sample rate if that helps.
