I'm building this computer to replace my old laptop and to be able to game on it. Questions I have:
1) Is everything compatible?
2) Do I have all the components needed?
3) Can I overclock with it?
4) If I do overclock, will it be too hot?
5) Can I run games such as battlefield 4, command and conquer, civilization 4, and tons of other old strategy games?

Actual build itself:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2exhD

Also, this is my first build and first post here.

Don't know much about the AMD, but do you plan on OC'ing the CPU? I see that you are asking, but if you do not plan on actually doing the OC, the cooler would be fine. If you do decide to go in and OC, I would suggest, for a 120mm cooler, the H80i liquid cooler from Corsair, or if you want to go larger (and for a bit more money) you can get the 240mm H100i from Corsair as well. This would keep the system cool under an OC environment. I have my CPU (i7 3770K -non OC) running 30C at idle, and 50-55 while gaming :D

These coolers are not at all needed for overclocking. The Coolermaster hyper 212 EVO is VERY good for overclocking. Those closed loop coolers are LOUD and don't perform better than high end air coolers. they are a fad. Yes they work, buy air coolers work the same and cost less and are quieter.

Well, the problem with the Hyper 212 EVO is that it is actually a louder cooler then the Corsair closed loops. As for saying they are loud - I am not exactly sure what you are referencing... My PSU and graphics card are louder then my the pump and fans aha...

Here's what I would go for, $20 more but definitely worth it.

Okay, stock fans are a little loud, but not too loud. At $32, yeah, it would be a good cooler, but, with my build I went with the more expensive and in my option much better option (got the H100i for $80 aha)

I won't argue that that is a good deal, but I still just don't like the idea of closed loop coolers. They aren't "real" water cooling the way a custom loop is, and are still challenged by air coolers on cooling fronts which operate quieter and have slower speed fans. I'm not here to argue, but I personally just don't see the point in them.

You are right, I would much rather prefer to have a custom liquid cooled set up, but, I do not have that kind of money laying around haha. One problem I do have with the air coolers though is that they are larger, and I find they affect the air flow in the case more then the liquid coolers. Also, with my case to soon have a window mod on it (Carbide 500R), having the liquid cooler looks quite nice in it lol.
