Solution
Windows 8 is lighter, faster, more efficient and future games will be optimized for 8; like bf4. Have had no issues with any software, even much older stuff/games. Anything that runs on my 7 pc runs on my 8 pc. It navigates like 7 as long as you don't venture into the metro side. I don't even see any metro stuff since 8.1 added boot to desktop.

Well sir, I'm sorry, but I find that Windows 8 is a pain. I hope I didn't offend you?

But you see the people who are saying 7 don't really give any reason other than the general "I don't like it." It's the issue with all the general dislike of it that people are passing it off without even really trying it. It literally navigates exactly like 7 because the desktop is unchanged other than the start button/menu. But you can get to everything you need by right clicking it so you never see metro.

Here is my reasoning. As a guy who plays with every setting on my computer daily, it is frustrating to manuever around with. As I have gone from Vista to Win7, I found that Win8 was a pain to operate on a daily use. Don't get me wrong, everyone has their preference, and mine, from the "touch every setting" point of view, is that Win7 is the better way to go.
