will a vidock work with my laptop?

i recently heard of vidock. as i said in a earlier post i want to upgrade my graphics on my laptop. i was wondering if this would be compatible with my laptop? or is this even a good idea?

I'm not sure how much research you want other people to do WRT your laptop and the viability of the ViDock thing. As far as I can see, if it works it won;t be cheap, and only minimally beneficial.
