I currently have a HP Pavillion p7 - 1446s. I am wiling to buy new parts, but I really don't have that great of a budget, so $400 tops is what i can spend. Thanks for any help you can give.

Your PC runs an APU (graphics+processor) so it's mainly capable of basic gaming. If you want to run modern games (like Bioshock) at high detail and resolution settings then you'll probably need a discrete graphics card.
To do this, you'll probably have to upgrade the power supply too (as there isn't much info for it, and it's only 300W).

You could theoretically spend your entire budget on a graphics card and PSU, but it's likely that in some games your CPU will hold you back. Something like this is probably as much as you want to spend at the top end -

A more balanced alternative, which will still give you a huge performance boost, would be to spend half your budget.

This is plenty good enough for most games at 1080P, as long as you are willing to turn down a few details here and there, and a far better match for your CPU.
