OC settings for AMD FX 6300 on Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 MoBo

Hi,

I am new to OC. Can anyone tell me the settings for OCing FX 6300 CPU on Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0.
I guess the settings would include Multiplier and Volt levels. I want to OC it to 4.1 GHz from 3.5 GHz on stock cooler. Thanks.

PSU: 700w Cooler Master Thunder
GPU: AMD R9 280x

One thing about overclocking is that it's not as simple as plugging in values for volts and frequencies as it varies from system to system and even on the same hardware. Also, the stock cooler is not very good for overclocking as the CPU will heat up so I suggest getting an aftermarket cooler. I'd look at some guides on overclocking your CPU or the FX series to get an idea of it first. Here's one:

Well, I was hoping I could overclock to 4.1 that is the Turbo frequency so should be safe on stock cooler. Anyways, did Auto clock from Mobo and it is at 3.8 for now. Pretty good and noticeable difference in games. (AC4 and BF4).
Will OC it to further 4.1 once I get my hands on 2 cabinet coolers. Will then get a CPU cooler master Evo 212 cooler and furhter OC it to 4.5.
