I have a AMD FX 4100 and I have been using it as a "guinea pig" for my next cpu the 8350. I am trying to find out if the temperatures I am running right now are adequate for when I upgrade, or if I need to get a new cpu cooler.

My specs are:

MOBO: SABERTOOTH 990fx R. 2.0

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (Push/Pull)

GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 (x2 in SLI)

CASE: Cooler Master storm scout 2 (all fans slots full with sickleflow's)

If anybody could please respond so I can see where I stand on this project.

Here is the temperatures after 20 min of Prime 95

Solution

v-core temps naturally fet 5-10 degrees warmer so yes it will be safe. The hyper 212 evo is a good cooler so you should be fine all the way around

Thanks for the swift response. Now while I have the question open, I'm wondering about that stupid V-Core temperature on my Thermal Radar and why is it so high (in other words is it an ok temp as well)

Thank you guys so much for answering my questions so quickly this is why I love the internet. It just sucks that I cannot find other people (locally) that share a interest in these subjects (the sad reality of living in Arkansas :( )
