1st build questions

So im planning on building my 1st PC and i have a couple questions. here are my specs.

CPU: i7 4770k
Mobo: MSi z87-g45
RAM: corsair vengeance 2x8
sound: Sound blaster ZxR
HDD: WD black 2 TB
SSD: samsung 840 pro 128 GB

I can't decide on the GPU. i was originally thinking about Radeon HD 7970 but i can't find them, so ive been looking at GeForce GTX 780 Ti. I don't know what else to really look at so if anybody has suggestions let me know.
And is everything compatible?

A 780Ti is massively faster than a 7970, but also alot more expensive. Both the 780 and 290 (though with the 290 you'll want to wait for better coolers) provide better value for money though.

Reason you can't find 7970's anymore is because they are discontinued, or rather, they are now sold under the 29 280X name. Same exact card just rebranded.

7970 to 780Ti is a pretty big step up, you really need a reason to have one, if you aren't gaming at 1440p or above the 780Ti is wasted cash. Also, if this is solely a gaming system, you can drop the 4770K to a 4670K and pretty much lose nothing, 99.99999999% of games don't benefit from an i7, but that may change in the coming months, who knows.
