Updated & Now can't upload

So I updated my computer to the 8.1.
I upload photos daily! Now that I updated the SD card will not pop up in the photo app for windows. But it does have something pop up in the desktop. Called "Speichermedium durchsuchen" & nothing about it is in English at all. Help me please!!

The photo app may not be certified to work with Windows 8.1. Have you checked with the maker for a 'update'? Uploading photos to where? Your computer? To a website? UNLESS SPECIFICALLY by that website requires it, you do not need 'software' to do that. Can you elaborate more on what your process was, what is the name of the software, where your 'uploading' to and what is your end goal in the process?

Yes, a simple Google Translate shows that is the German Word for Storage Medium, aka a SD card. It sounds like some how your settings got changed to German then English. Under Control Panel look for Region and Languages. There you can make sure it is set to English.

I checked it and it is all in English. I really just want it to pop back up in to the photo app when I put the SD card in. I have no idea why an update would change this. Plus this "Storage Medium" thing keeps crashing. Won't even let me up load. I'm to the point where I want to do a reset.

I will try again to contact them. It is the app that comes with the windows 8 when I first got the computer. No problem with sites just saving to the computer. I also Tried other SD cards and CDs. I think I am just going to bring it in at this point. Thank you
