Antec Three Hundred Gaming ATX Solid Metal Construction Case - Black
Samsung 24x Retail SATA DVD Writer - Samsung
Western Digital 1TB internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue (3.5 inch)
Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970/SB950, DDR3, 6 x S-ATA 600, ATX, PCI-Express 2.0, USB 3.0, Socket AM3+)
AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W, Retail Boxed)
Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit
Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 4GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Module

If any of these parts won't work let me know. I'm building my first pc and want to be extra sure this will work.
If anything is wrong please suggest similarly priced alternatives.

those components will work

Some people might nitpick over specific choices, but ultimately it comes down to personal preference and budget.
Caviar blue as a boot drive might not be the best choice, an SSD or atleast a wd black or seagate DM (single 1TB platter) would be a better choice.

Ok thanks. Is an ssd wired to he mobo/psu the same as a hard drive? That's the only reason I stuck with a hard drive. I didn't know how ssds worked.
