SO i am having the damnedest time removing this conduit fully from my computer. I managed to delete all the files(or so I thought) but everytime I boot up, I get an error message saying that a .dll from conduit failed to load. I followed the stickied malware remover and it got rid of a few more files but after I boot up, it still shows me the error. Anyone have this much trouble with this thing, its annoying to have to see it mocking me every time I boot up.

I believe it was the youtube by click toolbar but it may well be utorrent anyway to save utorrent(I download a lot of mods, and p2p is a nice fast solution occasionally)and still get rid of conduit. If not, its not a huge deal, I no longer download anything illegally, not after it killed my laptop lol. Just means slower dl times for some things.

Another thing windows is booting pretty slowly as of late, I cant tell if its because its a 3 year old drive(wd caviar black 500bg), malware, or my recent upgrade to an 8350...any thoughts?

make sure to install the newest mb bios and chipset drivers. run ccleaner and defrag. in windows start up in msconfig turn everything off but your anti virus. boot into safe mode look under programs make sure you have only one anti virus running and that you dont have two or a anti malware running. if you have a old anti virus uninstall it there avg and avast that are both free.

You'll find folders and references to it in Users>AllUsers>ApplicationData as well as your own User Account folder. Delete them then go into the Registry, expand H_KEY_CURRENT_User\Software and delete the Conduit entry and do the same in H_KEY_LOCAL MACHINE>Software.

If your IE Homepage has been reset to take you to Conduit even thoughteh Homepage still shows up ion Internet options, it's because your shortcut has been amended to take you straight to the Net and that page.

Right click the Shortcut and amend it to c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe, click Apply and OK and if you have a 64 bit system, do the same in Program Files (X86).

Then restart the computer to take all the changes you made into account.
