Is this a mobo or graphics card or a HP problem?

I have a HP P6-2171a (Joshua) mobo Quad 3.1GHz 6GB. I bought a new 600W PSU and GTX650 OC 2GB. PSU is all good.

Every time I uninstall onboard graphics they reinstall during reboot. After trying for 48 hours, only once did I get to see the new 650 card appear in Device Manager, but then it disappeared again during the reboot.
The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Integrated graphics can support use of both DVI ports at the same time. On the P6 the onboard graphics cannot disabled in BIOS.
The PCI-e card I am replacing is a Radeon HD 7450 which has both DVI and HDMI and looks quite different from a new AMD Radeon HD 7450 DP. If you google P6-2171a you will see. It was only released in Australia & New Zealand.

I am getting the feeling the mobo and the 7450 are hard coded together. Could that be possible? Should I look at replacing the mobo??

I am at the end of my knowledge and what google tells me. Any help much appreciated.

You need to go into the bios either f 8 delete or what ever it states upon bootup to enter the bios and remove igpu or old card also you power supply has to be up to snuff.. even if it states 6000 million watts its has to be a good reliable power supply unit in order to power your card.

Thanks johnny. The igpu of the P6 cannot be disabled in the BIOS....they don't provide an option. It's a HP thing. I even did uninstall and it came back. Any other option for getting it out of the BIOS?

Sorry I forgot to mention that when I install the card and boot I get a blank screen. When I remove the card and put back the old Radeon or use onboard graphics is runs OK. Only once have I seen the new 650 card in the Device Manager when looking for hidden devices...that means it saw it as some point.

Also the new PSU is a Cooler Master G-Series 600W. I put it in and tested all works before I changed the card.

I went into msconfig and set Safe boot. Then disabled igpu, got the usual warning, and then rebooted. When I went into system devices it was back again. Should I do it without Safe boot?
